TIDAL Announces 10/20 Concert

TIDAL reached their 1 million user mark this week and Jay-Z took to Instagram to foreshadow a later celebration for the accomplishment. Not long after, TIDAL announces their 10/20 concert stacked with an amazing lineup of artists.

In addition to performances from Jay-Z, you’ll also see sets from Beyoncé, Prince, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Lil Wayne, and T.I.

Additional performers include Nick Jonas, Damian Marley, Fabolous, Alessia Cara, Bas, and Justine Skye, with more to be announced. You can catch the concert stream live

DRAKE EARNS 100TH BILLBOARD HOT 100 HIT

Last week ‘What a Time to Be Alive’ debuted on the Billboard album charts at number one but this week Drake sets another record off of the collab album.

This week Drake has had eight new songs debut on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. That’s 8 more than 92 (the documentary comes out 10/9). The only others to also have tallied 100 Hits on the Hot 100 from Billboard are Elvis Presley with 108 records, Lil Wayne with 127 singles, and the ‘Glee’ cast with 207.

NICKI MINAJ GETS ABC FAMILY COMEDY SERIES

The female hip hop artist is scheduled to executive produce as well as act in a new comedy series for ABC family. The sitcom will follow Nicki Minaj through her storied childhood life in Queens, NY and it’ll highlight the immigration factor her family went through in traveling from Trinidad during Nicki’s early years.

“The pilot for the show will be filmed this winter in Queens, and will screen sometime next year.” - Rap Up
